Antiche Camelie della Lucchesia

A lovely spring event to enjoy during your stay at Casa Le Sorelle. Antiche Camelie della Lucchesia is a charming festival celebrating the beautiful historic camellias of the Lucca countryside, with flowering gardens, scenic village walks, local food and cultural activities. The event takes place in Pieve and Sant’Andrea di Compito, Capannori, near Lucca, on the weekends of 7–8, 14–15, 21–22 and 28–29 March 2026.

Forte dei Marmi Market
Sundays and wednesdays in 2026
One of the most iconic markets in Tuscany, the Forte dei Marmi market is a wonderful excursion for guests of Casa Le Sorelle. Set in Piazza Marconi, it is loved for its chic atmosphere and beautifully presented stalls selling fashion, leather goods, accessories and home items. The market is held every Wednesday all year round, and from Easter to the end of October it also takes place every Sunday — in 2026 from 5 April onwards. Wednesday is the full, larger market, while Sunday is the smaller version. The market is open from 8.00 am to 1.30 pm.
LUCCA SUMMER FESTIVAL

Lucca Summer Festival 2026 is a world-class music festival held in the historic heart of Lucca, where piazzas and ancient city walls become extraordinary open-air stages.
Running from 24 June through late July 2026, the festival features headline artists including Neil Young, Katy Perry, Jamiroquai, Bryan Adams, Alanis Morissette, Ludovico Einaudi, David Byrne, Scorpions, and Simple Minds, spanning rock, pop, classical, and contemporary music. More than just concerts, the festival offers a full Italian summer experience, blending world-class performances with culture, cuisine, and the charm of Tuscany.

ART EXHIBITION IN FLORENCE

“The Florentine” refers to the major 2026 exhibition “Rothko in Florence”, a landmark retrospective at Palazzo Strozzi exploring Mark Rothko’s deep connection to the city’s Renaissance art, running from March 14 to August 23, 2026, with unique site-specific installations at the Museo di San Marco and Biblioteca Medicea Laurenziana. Curated by Christopher Rothko and Elena Geuna, it features over 70 works, many never seen in Italy, highlighting how Florentine masters influenced his vision.
